Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use kustomkimonos.com or buy from us. "We", "us" and "Kustom Kimonos" mean OddLot Goods, the seller of every order. By placing an order you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Shipping Policy.
Who can order
You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission. We sell to addresses in the United States only.
Your photos and words
By uploading a photo or writing a prompt, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, including permission from anyone who appears in it. You keep your rights to your photos. You give us permission to use them, and the designs made from them, only to make, show you, deliver and support your order. We won't use your photos or designs in our marketing without asking you first.
What we won't make
No brand logos, trademarked or copyrighted characters, real celebrities or public figures, hateful, violent or sexual content, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. Our system checks every upload and prompt and may refuse a design. We may also cancel an order (with a full refund) if we believe it breaks these rules.
AI designs, colours and the preview
Each design is drawn by AI from your photos and prompt, so no two are the same and results can be surprising. The preview and proof are close approximations: printed fabric can differ slightly in colour, brightness and placement from what you see on screen, and the pattern is placed slightly differently on each size.
Prices, payment and tax
Prices are in US dollars. You pay in full at checkout, through Shopify. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Shipping is free.
Your proof
After checkout we email a proof of your kimono. You have 96 hours to approve it or ask for a change; 2 changes are free. After your 2 free changes, email support@kustomkimonos.com (or just reply to your proof email) and we'll send the proof back. If we don't hear from you within 96 hours, the proof is approved automatically and your kimono goes into production. Please check spelling, names and photos carefully: we print what you approve.
Cancellations, returns and misprints
You can cancel for a full refund within 48 hours of ordering, as long as you haven't approved your proof. Every kimono is made to order, so we don't take returns or exchanges for size or a change of mind. Misprinted or damaged kimonos are reprinted or refunded. Delivery
Production and shipping usually take 3–4 weeks from proof approval. Dates are estimates, not guarantees. See our Shipping Policy.
Our site and content
The site, its text, the example designs and the Kustom Kimonos name belong to OddLot Goods. Please don't copy them, use automated tools to create designs in bulk, or try to get around our limits or checks.
Limits on our responsibility
We provide the site and designs "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Ulster County, New York, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
